Easter Egg Hunt

Stella went on an Easter Egg Hunt today & had SO MUCH fun:)

Ok...you got me.

Maybe she just decided to try on her Easter dress & sit on the couch & play with some plastic eggs for awhile...

The Letter M

Oh...well, would you look at that?

She's learning all about the letter M.

Looks like she's already getting ready to learn to say Ma-Ma:)

Da-Da!

Stella started to say "Da-Da" this past Monday & has been saying it all week long!

It's awesome:)

We were at Target today & she was saying it randomly as we strolled through the store...

So cute!

I guess all of Rob's hard work finally paid off...LOL

Now I've got to get to work on getting her to say Ma-Ma next;-)

*Christening Day*

This year I got to share my birthday with Stella's Christening Day & I can honestly say that she is the first person I've ever met that I didn't mind "sharing" it with;-)

She looked so beautiful in her gown & was so well behaved all day. She only got fussy a couple of times & it was really a long day for her...including getting dressed & undressed & dressed again multiple times. (Her dress was too bulky for her to fit into her carseat with it on.)

The cutest part of the day for me was when she stuck her hand right into the holy water when we weren't looking! She sure is in that "grabbing anything & everything" phase!!

Summer can't get here fast enough.

I just CANNOT WAIT to put this on her:)

Height/Weight/Sweet Potato Update

Dear Stella,

We took you to see Dr. Trotsky for your 6-month check-up today. You are up to 13 pounds, 13 ounces & you are 26 inches long! You have grown half a foot in your first half-year of life:) How cool is that?!

They gave you 3 more shots while we were there, which is always so sad for your Dad & I...but you did great. You cried a little bit but calmed right down when I picked you up after they were done. You "found your thumb" & soothed yourself right down. You are so good at that:)

We decided to give you some sweet potatoes with your oatmeal cereal for lunch when we got home. It was your first time having a vegetable! Some of the faces you made while eating it were PRICELESS. Your Dad & I were cracking up! I'm not sure you knew quite what to make of it. It must've tasted MUCH different to you than anything else you've ever had.

Breast Milk...

Rice Cereal...
Oatmeal...

And then suddenly this strange, tangy, bright orange GOOP!

You did great with it for your first time, although a ton of it did end up ON you rather than IN you;-) We will give you some more with your cereal for the next few days & then we'll switch to something new & different. Maybe peas...or carrots...or bananas...or yellow squash!?

We'll see.

There is one thing I know for sure, though.

We are going to have to go shopping for lots more BIBS!

Radio Flyer

Target was kind enough to bless us with an incredible deal on a Radio Flyer wagon & so Stella gets to chill out in this COOL RIDE this summer:)

Rice Cereal!

We were going to wait until March 11th to start her on solids...but we had the highchair out last night...and the rice cereal was just a couple of steps away in the pantry...and I had pumped some milk & stashed it in the fridge...

And so we caved & started her @ 6 months minus 10 days;-)

I don't think she ended up swallowing too much of it, anyhow...

She was really more interested in chewing on her spoon!

But we sure had fun & she sure was cute:)

Rosey Cheeks McGee

Her cheeks are always so rosey these days. It cracks me up!

another NEW baby:)

Sarah & Dave were blessed with their second baby just a few weeks ago. Tobey Asher was born on February 6th:)

Stella got to visit him & big sister Maya twice last week. Lucky little girl:)
